Dee Schaad
Originally from Nebraska, he earned an MFA from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and taught ceramics at the University of Indianapolis for 39 years. He was Chairman of the Department of Art and Design from 1994 through 2010 and is now Professor Emeritus. Dee is an accomplished author, with articles appearing in numerous national publications and his large- and small-scale works, featuring sculptural and traditional functional vessels, are in private and public collections globally. He continues to exhibit and conduct workshops throughout the United States.
His work is inspired by history, myth and current events and covers a broad spectrum of processes and styles.
